Our name, Beaverbird, draws inspiration from our parents’ childhood nicknames – a tribute to them, for we love and respect them greatly. “Beaver” was affectionately given to our dad due to a noticeable gap in his teeth, a moniker that remained with him throughout his life. In fact, we stumbled upon an oldcheckbook belonging to him, with “Beaver Davis” as his name. On the other hand, “Bird” represents our founder and our mother, “Janna-Bird”. It was a nickname lovingly given to her by her dad, which stayed with her over time. Surprisingly, integrating these animal references into our identity came naturally, as we had been doing so informally for quite some time.
